While no base is 100% raid-proof, you can make it incredibly difficult and time-consuming for raiders. Smart base design and defense are key.
Defense Strategies:
- Layered Walls: Multiple layers of walls and gates make it harder to breach.
- Hidden Locks: Place combination locks on the inside of gates where they are harder to shoot.
- Barbed Wire: Place on top of walls and around the perimeter to deter climbing and inflict damage.
- Watchtowers: Provide elevated firing positions.
- Landmines/Bear Traps: Place strategically around the perimeter (remember where you put them!).
- Camouflage: Use camouflage nets on tents or walls to make your base less visible.
- Decoys: Build a small, obvious 'dummy' base to distract raiders from your real stash.
- Hidden Stashes: Bury valuable items in wooden crates or drybags outside your main base.
- Offline Raid Protection (Community Servers): Some community servers offer features to prevent offline raiding.
Tip: The best defense is often obscurity. Build your base in a remote, inconspicuous location.
