Wishbone Trophy: How to Rip Off Limbs with Kinesis
Unlock the 'Wishbone' trophy in Dead Space (Remake) by successfully ripping off enemy limbs using Isaac Clarke's Kinesis module. This achievement requires a specific combat approach, focusing on precise manipulation of fallen Necromorph parts rather than direct destruction.
The Kinesis module allows Isaac to telekinetically grab and throw objects. While primarily used for environmental puzzles and picking up items, it can also be used on severed Necromorph limbs. To earn the 'Wishbone' trophy, you must grab a dismembered limb and then throw it at another enemy, causing them to lose a limb as well.
Steps to Earn the 'Wishbone' Trophy:
- Equip a Suitable Weapon: Use a weapon that can effectively dismember Necromorphs, such as the Plasma Cutter or Line Gun.
- Dismember an Enemy: Engage a Necromorph and strategically shoot off one of its limbs. The Slasher is a good target for this.
- Use Kinesis to Grab the Limb: Approach the severed limb and use the Kinesis module (default: L2 + Circle on PlayStation) to pick it up.
- Target Another Enemy: Aim at a different, preferably intact, Necromorph.
- Throw the Limb: Launch the grabbed limb at the targeted enemy with Kinesis (default: L2 + Circle while aiming, then release).
- Success: If the thrown limb successfully causes the target enemy to lose one of its own limbs, the 'Wishbone' trophy will unlock.
This trophy encourages players to experiment with the Kinesis module in combat and understand its versatile applications beyond simple object manipulation. It might take a few tries to get the timing and aim just right, but the reward is a satisfying trophy and a deeper understanding of the game's mechanics.
