Throughout the Ishimura, you'll find various environmental anomalies or strange growths that can be scanned with your RIG. These scans often reveal hidden lore, scientific data about the Necromorphs, or even unlock small caches of resources. This activity encourages careful observation of your surroundings. Some scans might require you to use Kinesis to move objects or Stasis to slow down environmental hazards to get a clear reading. There are usually dozens of these scattered across the ship, and completing a certain number can sometimes unlock an achievement or a minor upgrade.
Tips for Scanning:
- Look for pulsating growths, strange energy readings, or unusual environmental textures.
- Your RIG will often give a subtle audio cue when a scannable object is nearby.
- Use your Locator (B/Right Stick Click) to highlight interactive objects, sometimes including scan points.
