Getting Started
Embark on your journey through the USG Ishimura in the Dead Space Remake. This guide will help you navigate the changes from the original, including new layouts, Security Clearance doors, and side quests. Prepare for a challenging experience, especially if you aim for 100% completion across multiple playthroughs.
To achieve 100% completion in Dead Space Remake, three playthroughs are recommended. The first playthrough focuses on completing the game on any difficulty, ideally collecting all "Slay" and "Collectible" Achievements. For this, starting on Medium Difficulty is suggested to unlock the Set A Benchmark Achievement. Playing on Story or Easy Difficulty is also an option, as difficulty can be changed in NG+. Beating the game on Impossible Mode retroactively unlocks the Set A Benchmark Achievement.
The second playthrough involves continuing into NG+ to gather any missed items and unlock the unique Alternate Ending. The final playthrough is dedicated to beating the game on Impossible Mode, earning the One Gun Achievement by exclusively using the Plasma Cutter.
During your first playthrough, prioritize earning the "Kill 30 Enemies With 'X Weapon'" Achievements. Completing these early will provide more flexibility for the One Gun Achievement in subsequent runs.
