Updaam

Updaam serves as a central hub, offering both early-game challenges and late-game opportunities for disruption. Its sprawling nature means careful exploration is rewarded.

  • Colt's Apartment (Morning): Your starting point. Always check the whiteboard for new leads and the radio for cryptic messages. The Hackamajig is essential for disabling turrets and cameras, and you'll find it here early on. grab the LIMP-10 from the kitchen counter.
  • Otto's Workshop (Afternoon/Evening): Located near the main square. This is where you'll encounter the "Space Invader" lead. During the Afternoon, you can find a Fourpounder and potentially a Strelak 50-50 here. The workshop also contains a safe with a code that changes daily, often revealed through notes or radio broadcasts.
  • Library (Afternoon): A key location for the "Visionary" lead involving Harriet. Inside, you'll find numerous notes and clues. The library also houses a Turret that can be hacked for defensive purposes or to clear out Eternalists. Look for a hidden passage behind a bookshelf, often leading to valuable Residuum or a weapon.
  • The Archives (Evening): Accessible via a tunnel from the library or a separate entrance. This area is heavily guarded but contains vital information for the "What a Swede Dreams" lead. Be prepared for a firefight. A Tribunal or Rapier can often be found on defeated enemies here.
  • Condition Detachment (Morning/Afternoon): Located on the outskirts of Updaam. This facility is crucial for the "Devouring of the Lambs" lead. Expect heavy Eternalist presence. Inside, you can find Health Packs and various weapon upgrades. The main objective often involves disabling a specific device.

Karl's Bay

A chaotic, industrial zone, Karl's Bay is rife with Eternalists and environmental hazards. It's a prime location for acquiring powerful weapons and Residuum.

  • Hangar 2 (Morning): The site of Harriet's sermons. This is a high-risk, high-reward area. You'll find numerous Eternalists and often a Fourpounder or Strelak 50-50 on Harriet herself. The Gas Vents can be used to your advantage, either by hacking them to release toxic gas or by avoiding them.
  • Fia's Fortress (Afternoon): A heavily fortified bunker. This is the primary location for the "Afternoon Delight" lead. Access requires solving a puzzle involving specific codes. Inside, expect numerous traps, turrets, and Fia herself. You can often find a Sepulchra Breteira or Vopat Trencher here. The safe in Fia's personal quarters contains valuable Residuum and sometimes a unique trinket.

The lab is a maze of scientific equipment and security measures. You'll often find Health Packs and Residuum scattered throughout. The objective often involves disabling a specific device or eliminating all Wenjies.
  • The Anomaly (Any Time): The central, glowing anomaly that defines the loop. While not a location to explore in the traditional sense, understanding its presence and how it affects the Visionaries is key to your success.
