Julianna Invasion Strategies
Julianna's invasions are a core part of Deathloop's unique multiplayer experience, turning your carefully planned assassination runs into chaotic cat-and-mouse games. As Colt, your primary goal when Julianna invades is survival and, ideally, eliminating her to secure your progress. As Julianna, your objective is to hunt down Colt and prevent him from breaking the loop.
For Colt:
- Stay Alert: The moment Julianna invades, the environment can change. Listen for her distinctive voice lines and the sound of her teleportation. She often appears in unexpected locations.
- Utilize the Environment: Blackreef's districts are filled with opportunities for ambushes and escapes. Use doors, windows, and destructible elements to your advantage. Traps can be particularly effective.
- Prioritize Objectives: If you're in the middle of a Visionary Lead, don't let Julianna completely derail you. Try to lure her away from your objective or eliminate her quickly to get back on track.
- Slab Powers are Key: Powers like Shift (teleportation) and Aether (invisibility) are invaluable for evading Julianna or setting up ambushes. Ensure you have them equipped and charged.
- Don't Be Afraid to Retreat: If Julianna has the upper hand, or if you're low on health and resources, sometimes the best strategy is to disengage and try to lose her. You can always return to the district later.
For Julianna:
- Patience is a Virtue: Don't rush in blindly. Observe Colt's movements and try to predict his path. Use your abilities to scout and set up advantageous positions.
- Exploit Colt's Vulnerabilities: Colt is often focused on his own objectives, making him predictable. Use this to your advantage by ambushing him when he's distracted or vulnerable.
- Master Your Abilities: Julianna's kit is designed for hunting. Her teleportation and other unique abilities can be used to close distances quickly, escape danger, or flank Colt.
- Sabotage: If you can, try to disrupt Colt's plans by destroying his equipment or alerting nearby Eternalists to his presence.
- The Hunt: Remember, you are the hunter. Use the environment to your advantage, set traps, and use your superior mobility to outmaneuver Colt.
