Boss fights in Demon's Souls depend heavily on your equipment, spells, tactics, and skill. Your character's form (body or soul) also influences combat, with body form offering full health and two ring slots, while soul form may inflict more damage. This guide provides strategies for overcoming challenging bosses.
Penetrator
To reach the Penetrator boss, follow these steps:
- Take the right path past the closed iron gate.
- Defeat the first Fat Official to acquire the Iron Ring of Keys.
- Traverse the rooftops and turn left to reach the other side of the closed iron door.
- Eliminate the Fat Official there and loot the Official's Cap from his body.
- Pull the lever to open the gate.
- Assist Ostrava, of Boletaria.
- Proceed to the room before the Tower Knight boss fight.
- Enter the door on the right.
- Rescue Biorr, of the Twin Fangs and defeat the Fat Official to obtain the Bloody Iron Key.
- Use the Bloody Iron Key on the alley's door to the right of the plaza. Equip the Official's Cap.
- Ascend the tower to the top floor to rescue Yuria, the Witch.
- Reach the large fog door located behind a group of enemies.
- Defeat the Penetrator.
Phalanx
After defeating the Phalanx, an archstone will appear. Touch it to receive x1 Lead Demon Soul. You can then return to The Nexus.
