The Old Monk is a unique boss. If playing online, another player can invade and become the Old Monk. If offline, you'll fight an NPC Black Phantom. The strategy depends on your opponent, but generally involves dodging their attacks and finding openings. The Monk's Head Collar is a valuable reward.
