Embarking on your journey in Demon's Souls requires a thoughtful approach to character building and progression. From the moment you select your starting class to the final moments of your adventure, every decision regarding stat allocation, equipment choice, and skill development shapes your ability to survive and thrive in the perilous world of Boletaria.
Your character's foundation is laid during creation with the choice of a starting class. While each class offers a unique set of initial attributes and equipment, it's crucial to understand that this choice is not a permanent commitment. The true essence of character building lies in how you spend your Souls to level up your attributes. As you defeat enemies and bosses, you'll accumulate Souls, which can then be invested to increase your Vitality, Intelligence, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Magic, Faith, or Luck.
Key Aspects of Character Building:
- Attribute Allocation: Prioritize stats that al with your chosen weapon type or magic school. For example, a sorcerer needs high Intelligence and Magic, while a knight needs Strength and/or Dexterity.
- Weapon Choice and Upgrades: Select weapons that scale well with your primary damage stats and upgrade them using appropriate ores (e.g., Sharp, Crushing, Moon).
- Armor and Equipment: Balance defense with equip load. Heavier armor offers better protection but consumes more stamina when dodging.
