Weapons can be upgraded using various Upgrade Ores found throughout the game's worlds. These ores are typically dropped by specific enemies or found in hidden locations. The primary upgrade paths are:
- Standard Path: Upgrades a weapon using Greystones. This path focuses on raw physical damage and is generally available for most weapons. It requires blacksmiths like Boldwin in the Nexus or Ed in the Smithing Grounds.
- Crushing Path: Enhances Strength scaling and raw physical damage, ideal for Strength-based builds. Requires Bladestones.
- Sharp Path: Enhances Dexterity scaling and attack speed, perfect for Dexterity builds. Requires Sharpstones.
- Quality Path: Balances Strength and Dexterity scaling, suitable for builds that invest in both. Requires Quality Ores.

Each path has a unique set of requirements and benefits. For example, the Dragon Path is excellent for early-game progression as it bypasses stat requirements, while the Crescent Path is a favorite for sorcerers due to its high magic damage and MP regeneration. The Blessed Path offers sustain, which is invaluable for survivability.
