This guide provides a detailed walkthrough for various areas in Demon's Souls, including specific item locations, quest steps, and boss strategies. Swamp to Dirty Colossus

The swamp area is fraught with danger, particularly the Poisoned status effect. Follow these steps:

  1. Explore small islands for items, including the Regenerator's Ring to counter Poison.
  2. Beware of the Meat Cleaver Black Phantom patrolling the area.
  3. Follow lanterns to a large island with a Giant Depraved One, past the first fog door.
  4. On the right, find Selen Vinland on an island to start her sidequest to find her brother, Garl Vinland.
  5. Reach the shanty town, which marks the second fog door.
  6. To the left of the shanty town, find a wooden platform. Follow it to the Slugs' nest. Hit the nest to drop many slugs.
  7. Defeat the slugs to obtain the Large Sword of Moonlight.
  8. Access the second fog door.
  9. On your left, find the Filthy Woman.
  10. Traverse the shanty town, hugging the left wall across wooden ledges to find a vertical wooden plank. This plank creates a shortcut from the area's beginning to the shanty town.
  11. Return to the shanty town and proceed through the final fog door to face the Dirty Colossus.

Boletarian Palace (1-2) - Rescuing NPCs

To rescue key NPCs in the Boletarian Palace:

  1. Take the right path past the closed iron gate.
  2. Defeat the first Fat Official to get the Iron Ring of Keys.
  3. Traverse the rooftops and turn left to reach the other side of the closed iron door.
  4. Defeat the Fat Official there and loot the Official's Cap.
  5. Pull the lever to open the gate.
  6. Help Ostrava, of Boletaria.
  7. Go to the room before the Tower Knight boss fight.
  8. Enter the door on the right.
  9. Rescue Biorr, of the Twin Fangs and defeat the Fat Official to obtain the Bloody Iron Key.
  10. Use the Bloody Iron Key on the alley's door to the right of the plaza. Equip the Official's Cap.
  11. Enter the tower and go to the top floor to rescue Yuria, the Witch.
  12. Reach the big fog door behind the large group of enemies.
  13. Defeat the Penetrator.

Phalanx Boss Fight

After defeating the Phalanx, an archstone appears. Touch it to receive x1 Lead Demon Soul. You can then return to The Nexus.
