Prophecy Dungeon Walkthrough
The Prophecy Dungeon, a challenging endgame activity, returns in the 2026 Expansion with updated encounters and rewards. This dungeon is designed for a fireteam of three Guardians and features a unique, abstract aesthetic with challenging combat encounters that test both individual skill and team coordination. It's a gauntlet that requires careful navigation and strategic combat.
The dungeon begins in the Phantasmal Core, where Guardians must collect Motes of Dark. These Motes are dropped by defeating specific enemies and must be deposited into a central Hex. The first major encounter involves the Kell's Mind. Here, defeat Psions to acquire Motes of Light and Motes of Dark. These Motes must be deposited into corresponding Hexes on opposite sides of the arena to weaken the boss. A key mechanic is the "Darkness" debuff, which periodically applies to Guardians, forcing them to stand in specific light pools to cleanse it. Failure to cleanse will result in death. Coordinating who collects which Mote and who cleanses when is crucial.
Following the Kell's Mind, Guardians will face the Mutant Hive encounter. This section involves navigating a maze-like environment while being pursued by powerful Hive enemies. The objective is to reach the end of the maze and defeat the boss. The maze itself is disorienting, and players must rely on communication to guide each other. The final encounter is against the Cube, also known as the Final Boss. This fight is a multi-stage battle that heavily relies on the Mote mechanics introduced earlier. Guardians will need to defeat specific enemies to spawn Motes of Light and Dark, which must be deposited into the correct Hexes around the arena to make the Cube vulnerable. During the fight, the Cube will periodically unleash a devastating attack that requires Guardians to stand in specific safe zones. Mastering the timing of Mote collection and deposit, along with precise positioning during the boss's attacks, is essential for victory. Weapons like the Whisper of the Worm can be effective for sustained boss damage, while crowd-control abilities are vital for managing the numerous adds that spawn throughout the dungeon.
