Location:
The Almighty (Final Mission of Red War Campaign)
Phases:
- Initial Encounter: Ghaul will be shielded by the Light. You must destroy the Psionic Projectors around the arena to temporarily remove his shield.
- Light Absorption: After his shield is down, damage Ghaul. He will eventually absorb more Light, gaining new abilities.
- Final Stand: Ghaul will become empowered by the Traveler's Light, becoming a giant, ethereal form.
Strategy:
- Phase 1: Focus on destroying the Psionic Projectors as quickly as possible. They are usually located on elevated platforms. Use your Super and heavy weapons on Ghaul once his shield is down.
- Phase 2: Ghaul will gain access to various Light-based abilities (e.g., Solar burn, Arc lightning). Keep moving and use cover. Continue to destroy projectors and damage him.
- Phase 3: When Ghaul transforms, he becomes a massive target. His attacks are powerful but slow. Focus all your remaining heavy ammo and Super abilities on him. He has a large critical spot (head/chest). This is a pure damage race.
Weaknesses:
- High burst damage (Supers, Heavy Weapons) when shield is down.
- Critical spot on head/chest.
