Beyond raw power, customization is a huge part of Destiny 2. Shaders and Emblems allow you to personalize your Guardian's appearance and showcase your achievements.
Shaders:
These are consumable items that apply a specific color palette to your armor, weapons, and even ships/sparrows. They are acquired from various sources: Eververse, seasonal activities, vendor rank-ups, and triumphs. Once acquired, they are permanently unlocked in your Collections and can be applied for a small Glimmer cost.
Emblems:
Emblems are banners displayed next to your Guardian's name, visible to other players. They often track specific stats (e.g., total kills, raid completions) and are awarded for completing challenges, purchasing expansions, or participating in events. They are a great way to show off your accomplishments.
