With the introduction of Subclass 3.0 (for Light subclasses) and the inherent design of Darkness subclasses, buildcrafting has become incredibly deep. Instead of fixed skill trees, you now customize your subclass with Aspects and Fragments.
Aspects:
- Class-specific abilities that fundamentally alter your playstyle.
- Each subclass has a limited number of Aspect slots (usually 2).
- Examples: Hunter's 'Gambler's Dodge' (Arc), Warlock's 'Heat Rises' (Solar), Titan's 'Bastion' (Void).
Fragments:
- Universal modifiers that can be equipped by any class, regardless of subclass.
- They provide small stat bonuses/penalties and unique effects (e.g., 'defeating a target with a Void ability grants Volatile Rounds').
- Each Aspect has a certain number of Fragment slots (1-3).
Buildcrafting Synergy:
The goal is to combine Aspects and Fragments that synergize with your chosen Exotic armor, weapons, and playstyle. For example, a Solar Warlock might use 'Heat Rises' (Aspect) with 'Ember of Empyrean' (Fragment) to extend radiant and restoration buffs, paired with an Exotic like Sunbracers for infinite Solar grenades.
