Atheon, Time's Conflux, is the final boss of the Vault of Glass Raid. This encounter is a complex dance of time travel, portal mechanics, and coordinated damage, requiring precise execution from all six Guardians.

Phases & Mechanics:

  1. Initial Phase: Oracles & Teleport: Atheon will randomly teleport three Guardians to either the 'Mars' (red, dusty) or 'Venus' (green, lush) side of the Vault. The remaining three Guardians stay in the main arena.
  2. Inside the Portals (Teleported Team): The teleported team must quickly identify and destroy a sequence of three Oracles that appear. Destroying them out of order or too slowly will wipe the team. One player should call out the Oracle order.
  3. Outside the Portals (Main Arena Team): The team in the main arena must open the correct portal for the teleported team to return. They do this by standing on plates corresponding to the 'Mars' (left) or 'Venus' (right) portal. They also need to clear adds and prevent Supplicants (exploding Harpies) from reaching the portal.
  4. Temporal Conflux (Damage Phase): Once the teleported team returns, all six Guardians gather in the middle. A 'Temporal Conflux' buff is granted to the team that was inside the portals, significantly increasing their damage against Atheon. Focus all heavy and Super damage on Atheon.
  5. Detain: Atheon will periodically 'Detain' one or more Guardians, trapping them in a bubble. Detained Guardians must be shot free by their teammates.
  6. Repeat: The encounter cycles through teleportation, Oracle destruction, portal opening, and damage phases until Atheon is defeated.

Strategy Tips:

  • Communication is Key: Clear and concise callouts are absolutely essential for Oracle order and portal opening.
  • Oracle Order: The teleported team must call out the Oracles in the order they appear.
  • Portal Management: The outside team must open the correct portal promptly.
  • Add Control: Both teams need to manage adds effectively to prevent being overwhelmed.
  • Supplicant Awareness: The outside team must prioritize killing Supplicants before they explode near the portal.
  • Damage Phase: Maximize damage during the Temporal Conflux buff. Use high-damage Supers and heavy weapons.
  • Detain Break: Quickly free detained teammates to avoid a wipe.
