Squads are a powerful mechanic in Disgaea 6 that allow you to group characters together to gain various benefits, from shared experience to stat boosts and even unique abilities. Understanding and optimizing your Squads is crucial for efficient progression, especially in the post-game.

Squad Management Basics

You can access and manage your Squads from the Squad Shop in the Pocket Dimension. Early in the game, you'll have access to a limited number of Squads, but more will unlock as you progress through the story and complete specific challenges. Each Squad has a maximum capacity for members, and some Squads have specific requirements for who can join (e.g., only monster units).

Joining a Squad

Navigate to the Squad Shop in the Pocket Dimension.
Select the "Manage Squads" option.
Choose the Squad you wish to assign characters to.
Select "Add Member" and pick the desired character from your roster.
Confirm your selection.

Remember that a character can only be in one Squad at a time. If you want to move a character to a different Squad, you'll first need to remove them from their current one.

Key Squads and Their Benefits

Here's a breakdown of some essential Squads and how to best use them:

1. The Elite Four

Benefit: Characters in this Squad gain a significant boost to their earned experience. The leader receives an even larger bonus.
Strategy: This is your go-to Squad for power-leveling. Place your main damage dealer or a character you want to quickly raise to max level as the leader. Fill the remaining slots with other characters you want to level up.
Actionable Step: Early in the game, once unlocked, immediately assign Zed as the leader and your next strongest units to rapidly increase their levels. Combine this with the "Triple EXP" cheat from the Cheat Shop for astronomical gains.

2. The Training Squad

Benefit: Characters in this Squad gain a percentage of the experience earned by the Squad leader, even if they don't participate in battle.
Strategy: Ideal for leveling up newly created characters or those you want to passively train without actively using them in combat. Place a high-level character as the leader and fill the rest with your trainees.
Actionable Step: When creating new generic characters like a Warrior or Witch for their unique Evilities, immediately place them in the Training Squad to passively gain levels while your main team clears stages.

3. The Item World Research Squad

Benefit: Characters in this Squad can be sent to explore the Item World of a chosen item, passively increasing its stats and level without you having to manually delve.
Strategy: This is an invaluable tool for item enhancement. Prioritize sending characters with high stats or those you don't actively use in battle to research items. The higher the character's stats, the faster and more effectively they will research.
Actionable Step: As soon as you acquire a powerful legendary item like a Trapezohedron or a high-tier weapon, immediately assign your strongest non-combat units to the Item World Research Squad to begin passively leveling it up. This is especially useful for reaching the maximum Item Level of 9999.

4. The Interrogation Squad

Benefit: Allows you to interrogate captured enemy units to extract various benefits, such as stat boosts, unique Evilities, or even recruiting them.
Strategy: Capture enemies using the "Capture" special ability (available to certain classes or via Evilities). Then, assign them to the Interrogation Squad. Different interrogation methods yield different results.
Actionable Step: To farm specific Evilities, capture units that possess them (e.g., a Martial Artist for Fury) and interrogate them until you acquire their unique Evility scroll. This is a key method for customizing your characters' abilities.

5. The Juice Bar Squad
