Congratulations, Overlord! Completing the main story of Disgaea 6 is just the beginning. The true challenge and depth of the game lie in its extensive post-game content, where you'll push your units to unimaginable power levels, conquer the Carnage Dimension, and face off against the ultimate boss, Rak Baal. This guide will walk you through the essential steps for efficient post-game progression and grinding.

Initial Post-Game Steps

Upon clearing the main story, several new options and challenges become available. Your immediate goals should be to unlock key features and begin the foundational grind.

Unlock the Carnage Dimension: This is paramount. The Carnage Dimension offers significantly stronger enemies, but also vastly superior rewards, including higher-tier items and more EXP/HL. To unlock it, you'll need to clear specific post-game quests from the Quest Shop.
Increase Level Cap: The initial level cap of 9999 is merely a suggestion. Head to the Dark Assembly and pass the "Increase Level Cap" bill. This can be done multiple times, eventually allowing your units to reach Level 99,999,999.
Reincarnation: use the Reincarnation system frequently. While it resets your level, it significantly boosts your base stats and allows you to transfer accumulated aptitudes. Early post-game, reincarnate whenever you hit the current level cap to maximize stat gains.

Early Grinding: EXP and HL

EXP Grinding

Stage 4-5 (The Cursed Earth): This map is excellent for early post-game EXP. The enemies are relatively weak, and with a strong AoE attacker, you can clear it quickly. Use the Cheat Shop to max out EXP gain.
Stage 12-4 (The Final Battlefield): Once you can handle it, this map offers even better EXP. The layout is conducive to large AoE attacks.
Carnage Dimension 1-1 (The First Step): As soon as you unlock the Carnage Dimension, this map becomes your primary EXP source. The enemies are much tougher, but the EXP rewards are unparalleled. Equip EXP-boosting Innocents like "Statistician" and use the Cheat Shop to its fullest.

Strategy for EXP Maps:

Create a powerful AoE attacker (e.g., a fully leveled Zed with his unique skills).
Surround your attacker with characters holding "Manager" Innocents to boost their EXP gain.
use the "Auto-Battle" feature with appropriate AI settings (e.g., "Attack Strongest Enemy" or "Attack All Enemies") for hands-off grinding.
pass the "Triple EXP" bill in the Dark Assembly for an additional boost.

HL Grinding

HL (Hell) is crucial for purchasing items, passing bills, and bribing the Dark Assembly.

Stage 1-1 (The First Step) with "HL Gainer" Innocents: Equip your entire party with "HL Gainer" Innocents (found in the Item World or as rewards). Set the Cheat Shop to max HL gain and repeatedly clear Stage 1-1. The low enemy count makes for quick clears.
Item World (HL Gates): Occasionally, you'll encounter "HL Gates" in the Item World. These floors are packed with HL-rich enemies. Clear them thoroughly for a significant cash injection.

Item World & Item Leveling

Key Item World Concepts

Item Leveling: Each time you defeat an Item General, King, or God, or clear a certain number of floors, your item gains levels, increasing its stats.
Kill Bonus: Defeating enemies within the Item World contributes to a "Kill Bonus," which further enhances the item's stats upon exiting.
Rarity Bonus: Matching the rarity of equipped items provides a stat bonus. Aim for matching rarity 0 (Legendary) or 100 (Rare) items.
Training Bonus / Item Enhance: Certain Item World events and specialists can provide direct stat boosts to your item.

Item World Strategy

Enter a Legendary Rank 39/40 Item: Always start with the highest rarity and rank item you possess.
