Super Reincarnation: Optimizing Stats and Evilities
Super Reincarnation is the cornerstone of character progression in Disgaea 6, allowing you to reset your unit's level and stats while retaining certain benefits. Mastering this mechanic is essential for reaching the astronomical power levels required for late-game content, especially the Carnage Dimension.
When you Super Reincarnate, you'll have the opportunity to allocate bonus points to your stats. Prioritize stats that are most relevant to your character's role. For offensive units, focus on ATK and HIT. For defensive units, DEF and RES are key. SPD is almost always a valuable stat for ensuring your units act before the enemy.
Beyond raw stats, Super Reincarnation also plays a vital role in Evility acquisition. As you level up and Reincarnate, you'll unlock new Evilities. Pay close attention to the Evilities available from each character class and unique character. Some Evilities are incredibly powerful and can define a character's build. For example, the "Magic Change" Evility can drastically alter a magic-user's effectiveness.
Consider the synergy between your character's innate Evilities, learned Evilities, and equipped Evilities. A well-constructed Evility set can provide massive stat boosts, unique combat mechanics, or crucial defensive capabilities. Don't be afraid to experiment with different combinations. For instance, pairing an Evility that boosts damage against specific enemy types with one that grants an elemental resistance can make a character incredibly versatile.
Furthermore, the choice of which stats to boost during Super Reincarnation can be influenced by your character's unique skills and Evilities. If a character has a skill that scales heavily with INT, then investing bonus points into INT becomes a high priority, even if they are primarily an attacker. Always consider the complete picture of your character's abilities when deciding where to allocate your precious bonus points.
