Roshan is the most powerful neutral creep on the Dota 2 map, residing in a dedicated pit in the river. Defeating him grants significant team-wide advantages, making him a highly contested objective.

Location:

  • Roshan's Pit is located in the river, between the Radiant and Dire jungle, near the middle lane.

Abilities:

  • Slam: Roshan periodically slams the ground, dealing damage and stunning all units in an area around him. The damage and stun duration increase with each subsequent Slam.
  • Spell Block: Roshan has a passive spell block that blocks a single targeted spell every few seconds.
  • Magic Resistance: Roshan has high base magic resistance.
  • Armor: Roshan has high base armor.
  • Roshan's Fury: As Roshan's health decreases, his attack damage and attack speed increase.
  • Roshan's Regeneration: Roshan has high health regeneration.

Rewards for Defeat:

  • Aegis of the Immortal: Drops upon Roshan's first two deaths. Grants the holder a one-time revive at the spot of their death after a short delay. The Aegis expires after 5 minutes or upon use.
  • Cheese: Drops upon Roshan's second death. A consumable item that instantly restores 2500 Health and 1500 Mana.
  • Refresher Shard: Drops upon Roshan's third death and subsequent deaths. A consumable item that instantly refreshes the cooldowns of all abilities and items.
  • Roshan's Banner: Drops upon Roshan's fourth death and subsequent deaths. Can be planted to summon a wave of powerful melee and ranged creeps in a chosen lane.
  • Gold and Experience: Defeating Roshan grants significant gold and experience to the entire team.

Roshan respawns 8-11 minutes after being defeated. The exact timing is randomized within this window.
