The Fountain Stash is a desated area within your team's fountain where you can place items. This is not a general inventory expansion but rather a way to temporarily store items that you don't want to carry on your hero or sell. The primary benefits of using the Fountain Stash include:

  • Inventory Management: As heroes gain more items, their inventory slots become limited. The Fountain Stash allows you to store items that you might need later but don't require immediate access to, freeing up inventory space for more crucial items. This is especially useful for consumable items like Tangoes, Clarity potions, or Observer Wards that you might not need to carry all at once.
  • Preventing Item Loss: If you are carrying a sificant amount of gold and are at risk of dying, you can use the Fountain Stash to store valuable items. While items in the stash are not completely safe from being lost if your fountain is destroyed, they are generally considered safer than items on your hero.
  • Strategic Item Placement: In some niche situations, you might want to place an item in the stash to be picked up by a specific teammate who is closer to it or has a better need for it at that moment.

How to Use the Fountain Stash:

  1. Approach your team's fountain.
  2. Open your inventory.
  3. Drag and drop items from your inventory into the desated Fountain Stash slots.

Limitations and Considerations:

  • Limited Slots: The Fountain Stash has a limited number of slots, so it's not an infinite storage solution.
  • Fountain Destruction: If your team's fountain is destroyed, any items remaining in the Fountain Stash will be lost.
  • No Item Access for Enemies: Enemies cannot access or steal items from your Fountain Stash.
  • No Item Access for Allies (Directly): Allies cannot directly pick up items from your stash. They would need to be in your fountain and you would need to move the item back into your inventory to give it to them.
  • Consumables: It's generally best to use the Fountain Stash for consumables or items you are saving for a later stage of the game. Avoid storing core items that you need for fighting or farming.
