These often overlooked mechanics and techniques can turn the tide of a game, save you from certain death, or secure crucial kills. From efficient farming patterns to clever item usage, understanding these nuances is key to elevating your gameplay beyond basic mechanics.

One fundamental trick is "creep blocking." In the early game, when creeps spawn, you can stand in front of your own creeps to slightly delay their movement towards the enemy. This allows your ranged creep to get the first last hit on the enemy melee creep, giving you a slight experience and gold advantage. This is particularly useful in the safe lane to deny the enemy offlaner easy farm.

Another vital trick involves "stacking neutral camps." Neutral creeps in the jungle respawn every minute. If you attack a camp and pull the creeps out of their spawn box just before the minute mark (e.g., at 53-54 seconds), a new set of creeps will spawn in the same camp. This allows your team's cores to farm multiple camps at once, sificantly boosting their experience and gold gain. Heroes with high attack speed or summons, like Enchantress or Nature's Prophet, are excellent at stacking.

"Tangoing trees" is a life-saving trick for supports. If you are low on health and have a Tango, you can use it on a tree to heal yourself. This is especially useful when you need to sustain in lane or escape a gank and don't have access to a healing item or shrine. Be mindful of your surroundings, as destroying trees can reveal your position.

Item usage tricks are also plentiful. For instance, using a Blink Dagger to blink into trees can make you untargetable for a brief moment, allowing you to dodge projectiles or spells. Similarly, using a Force Staff to push yourself or an ally through a cliff or over an impassable terrain can be a game-changer for escaping or initiating. The Town Portal Scroll (TP) can be used to teleport to any allied building or ward, but it can also be used to "TP out" of a dangerous situation by targeting an allied creep that is about to die, effectively canceling the teleport and saving you from a potential death if the enemy is about to arrive.
