The Inquisition & War Table — Dragon Age: Inquisition Walkthrough

Master the War Table in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Learn how to manage Forces, Secrets, and Connections operations for maximum influence and rewards.

The Inquisition & War Table

The War Table is the central hub for managing the Inquisition's operations and making crucial strategic decisions that shape the world of Thedas. It allows you to dispatch agents, gather intelligence, and influence political landscapes, all while your Inquisitor focuses on more immediate threats.

Accessing the War Table is done through your advisors in Haven and later Skyhold. Each advisor—Cullen, Leliana, and Josephine—oversees different categories of operations: Forces, Secrets, and Connections, respectively. Understanding which advisor to trust with which task is key to maximizing your rewards and influence.

Forces operations, managed by Cullen, typically involve military endeavors, such as securing supply lines, training troops, or engaging in skirmishes. These often yield influence, gold, and sometimes valuable crafting materials or schematics.

Secrets operations, overseen by Leliana, focus on espionage, gathering intelligence, and dealing with covert threats. These missions can provide significant influence, unique items, and unlock new areas or quests.

Connections operations, guided by Josephine, revolve around diplomacy, political maneuvering, and forging alliances. These missions are crucial for gaining influence, improving relations with various factions, and acquiring rare items or powerful allies.

Each operation has a time requirement, ranging from minutes to days. Some operations also have prerequisites, such as specific party members being available or certain quests being completed. Investing Power is often required to initiate these operations, so managing your Power reserves is essential.

Successfully completing War Table missions provides numerous benefits, including increased Inquisition Influence (which unlocks new perks and abilities), gold, crafting materials, schematics, and even unique gear. It's also a vital tool for advancing companion quests and unlocking new areas on the world map.
