The Inquisitor (Player Character) — Dragon Age: Inquisition Walkthrough

Shape your Inquisitor in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Import decisions, choose specializations via War Table operations, and manage companion approvals.

The Inquisitor (Player Character)

As the Inquisitor, your journey in Dragon Age: Inquisition involves significant decisions impacting your character and the world. You can import decisions from Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age 2 using the Dragon Age Keep Online function, which influences minor lore, character appearances, and dialogue. Specializations become available, activated via the War Table operation "Specializations For the Inquisitor" located west of Orzammar.

Nine companions will join you throughout the game. Gaining their approval is crucial for achievements and relationships. Maintain high approval by completing companion quests and choosing dialogue options that align with their character, especially after main missions. Exhaust their dialogue options to foster these relationships.

  • Romance Options (Female Character): Blackwall, Cullen, Sera, Solas
  • Romance Options (Male Character): Cassandra, Dorian
  • Romance Options (Both Male and Female Characters): Iron Bull, Josephine

Achievements related to companions include:

  • People Person Achievement: Become Friends with 3/9 companions.
  • Beloved & Precious Achievement: Enter a relationship with one companion.

For the Trial of the Fool Achievement, reach Skyhold at Character Level 5 or less. This is not recommended for a Nightmare playthrough due to increased difficulty. Instead, save this for a separate, short playthrough on the lowest difficulty.

Multiplayer in Dragon Age: Inquisition does not offer any achievements.
