The early stages of Dragon Age: Inquisition are dedicated to establishing your presence and authority in a world thrown into chaos. Your initial steps involve escaping Haven and dealing with the immediate aftermath of the explosion. The choice between siding with the Mages or the Templars is a pivotal moment that will shape the political landscape of the game.
Recruiting Companions: A key aspect of establishing the Inquisition is gathering a diverse and capable team of companions. Key early companions include Cassandra Pentaghast, Varric Tethras, Solas, and Iron Bull.

Completing early War Table missions is essential for gaining influence and resources.
Dealing with Corypheus: The primary antagonist, Corypheus, and his forces, the Red Templars and the Venatori, are the immediate threats. Your early quests will focus on understanding their motives, disrupting their plans, and finding a way to close the Breach. Missions like The Threat Remains are critical in this regard.
