Dragon Pedestal
The Dragon Pedestal is your gateway to summoning the mighty Shenron and making wishes that can dramatically impact your journey as a Time Patroller. To use the Dragon Pedestal, you must first collect all seven Dragon Balls. Once gathered, head to the Dragon Pedestal located in the center of Conton City, directly in front of the Time Nest entrance. Interacting with it will initiate the summoning ritual.
Collecting Dragon Balls
Dragon Balls are not easily found; they require dedication and a bit of luck. Here's how to efficiently gather them:
- Parallel Quests (PQs): This is the primary method. Certain Parallel Quests have a chance to drop Dragon Balls upon defeating specific Time Patrollers (NPCs) that appear during the mission.
- Recommended PQs for Farming:
- PQ No. 04: Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans! This early PQ is excellent for quick farming. After defeating Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien, three Time Patrollers often appear. Defeat them and check the mission rewards for a potential Dragon Ball. If none drop, restart the PQ.
- PQ No. 23: The Saiyan Pride! Similar to PQ 04, this quest can spawn Time Patrollers after you defeat Vegeta.
- PQ No. 79: Great Ape Festival: While longer, this PQ can sometimes yield multiple Time Patrollers, increasing your chances.
- Strategy for PQs:
- Select a recommended PQ.
- Rush through the initial objectives until Time Patrollers appear.
- Defeat all Time Patrollers.
- Check the "Key Items" section of the mission results screen. If a Dragon Ball is listed, you've succeeded!
- If no Dragon Ball drops, simply restart the PQ. Do not complete the mission if you don't get one, as this saves time.
- Recommended PQs for Farming:
- Online Battles: Occasionally, winning online battles against other You can reward you with a Dragon Ball. This is less reliable than PQ farming but can be a pleasant surprise.
- Exploration (Rare): Very rarely, a Dragon Ball might be found as a sparkling item on the ground in Conton City or other hub areas. This is extremely uncommon and not a viable farming method.
Summoning Shenron & Making Wishes
Once you have all seven Dragon Balls, approach the Dragon Pedestal and interact with it. A cinematic will play, and Shenron will appear, offering you a list of wishes. You can only make one wish per summoning, and then the Dragon Balls will scatter again.
Here are the available wishes and their benefits:
- I want money!: Grants you a large sum of Zeni (in-game currency). Useful for buying skills, equipment, or items from shops.
- I want a rare item!: Provides you with a random rare item, which can include Super Souls, accessories, or even rare crafting materials.
- I want to dress up!: Unlocks a new clothing set for your custom character. This is often a unique set not available through normal shops or PQs.
- I want to get stronger!: Increases your character's level by one. This is incredibly useful for quickly gaining levels, especially early on or for new characters.
- I want to grow!: Grants you a significant amount of experience points, helping you level up faster.
- I want a new Ultimate Attack!: Unlocks a powerful Ultimate Attack skill for your character. These are often exclusive to Shenron's wishes.
- I want a new Super Attack!: Unlocks a new Super Attack skill for your character, also often exclusive.
- I want more usable characters!: Unlocks a new playable character for use in Parallel Quests and other modes. These are usually specific characters like Hit or Super Saiyan 4 Goku (if not already unlocked via DLC/story).
- I want a second chance at life!: Allows you to re-spec your character's attribute points. This is invaluable if you want to change your build or correct a mistake.
- I want to be beautiful!: Allows you to change your character's appearance (race, gender, body type, facial features, etc.). This is the only way to fully customize your character after creation without starting a new save.
Pro-Tip: Prioritize wishes like "I want to get stronger!" or "I want a second chance at life!" early in your playthrough, as they offer significant gameplay advantages. Later, you might focus on "I want a new Ultimate Attack!" or "I want more usable characters!" to expand your combat options and roster.
