Upon starting your journey, you will be greeted by Elder Kai, who oversees your initial training. Your first task is a sparring session against Goku to master the fundamental controls of a Time Patroller. This mission is critical for building muscle memory before you are released into the hub world of Conton City.

To begin, practice your movement using the Left Stick to fly and the Right Stick to control the camera. Once you close the gap with Goku, initiate combat using Light Attacks (Square on PS / X on Xbox) for fast strikes and Heavy Attacks (Triangle on PS / Y on Xbox) for more powerful moves that can break through guards. You can chain these together (e.g., Light, Light, Light, Heavy) to perform your first basic combos.

Defensively, hold L1 (PS) / LB (Xbox) to Guard against incoming strikes. If you find yourself under fire from a distance, tap Circle (PS) / B (Xbox) to fire basic Ki Blasts. Finally, you will be prompted to use your first Super Attack; hold R2 (PS) / RT (Xbox) to open your skill menu and press the corresponding face button displayed on-screen to unleash a powerful technique like the Kamehameha. Follow the on-screen prompts carefully to finish the sparring session and unlock full access to the game's story and multiplayer features.
