Chain Battle Guide
Chain Battle is a unique multiplayer mode in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle that allows you to team up with friends and other players to take down a powerful boss. The core mechanic revolves around creating a "chain" of characters with matching types and categories to maximize your attack power.
The objective in Chain Battle is to deal as much damage as possible to the boss within a set number of turns. Before the battle begins, you'll select a "Friend" character and then assemble your own team. The key to success lies in understanding the "chaining" system. When you select a character to attack, the game will highlight other characters from your friend's team and your own that share the same Type or Category as the character you just used. Linking these characters together forms a chain.
The longer and more consistent your chain, the higher your attack multiplier will be. Prioritize matching Types first, as this usually provides a larger boost. If Type matching isn't ideal, then focus on matching Categories. For example, if your first character is an AGL Type, you'll want to select as many AGL characters as possible from your friend's and your own team to extend the chain. If you can't find AGL characters, look for characters within the same Category.
Your "Support" characters, chosen before the battle, also play a vital role. These characters provide passive buffs to your main attacking units. Choose Support characters that complement your main attacking team, offering ATK boosts, DEF boosts, or Ki support. Pay attention to the boss's weaknesses; some bosses might be vulnerable to specific Types or Categories, so tailor your team accordingly.
The rewards for Chain Battle can be quite generous, often including valuable Awakening Medals, Support Items, and even Dragon Stones. Regularly participating in Chain Battle is a great way to supplement your resource gathering and test your team-building skills against challenging opponents. Remember to update your Friend and Support characters periodically to help out other players and maximize your own rewards.
