Phases & Attacks:

  • Phase 1 (Full HP): Atlas uses powerful club swings, a wide-area ground pound, and a 'Double Punch' attack that hits twice. It can also stomp, creating small shockwaves.
  • Phase 2 (Below 50% HP): It becomes enraged, increasing its attack speed and damage. It might also perform a 'Boulder Toss' attack, throwing large rocks at your party, or a 'Roar' that stuns nearby characters.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

Atlas has no obvious elemental weaknesses, making raw physical and magical damage crucial. Its weak points are its heads, which become vulnerable after it performs certain attacks or when you stun it by attacking its legs. Focus on dodging its slow but powerful attacks and counter-attacking its legs. Once stunned, unleash your strongest single-target skills and Coup de Grâce on its heads. Characters with high burst damage like Alena, Terry, or Luceus are excellent choices. Keep your party spread out to avoid its wide-area attacks. When it roars, quickly dodge away to avoid being stunned. Healing is paramount in this fight, so ensure you have a dedicated healer like Kiryl or plenty of Yggdrasil Dew. Monster Medals that provide defense buffs or additional damage can be very helpful. This is a battle of attrition and precise execution.

Rewards:

Defeating Atlas yields a large amount of gold, experience, and very rare crafting materials such as 'Atlas's Armlet' or 'Colossus Stone'.
