Objectives: Understand vocation changes, optimize your party.

- Dharma Temple is a crucial location for optimizing your party. To change a character's vocation, speak to the High Priest inside the temple.
- Rules for Vocation Change:
- A character must be at least Level 20 in their current vocation to change.
- When a character changes vocation, their stats (HP, MP, Strength, Agility, etc.) are halved.
- However, they retain all spells and abilities learned from their previous vocation. This is why changing a Jester to a Sage (using a Book of Satori) is so powerful, as Sages can learn both Pilgrim and Wizard spells.
- The hero cannot change vocation.
- Strategic Vocation Changes:
- Jester to Sage: This is a highly recommended path. Level a Jester to 20+, then use a Book of Satori (found later in the game) to change them into a Sage. They will then learn both healing and offensive magic.
- Warrior/Fighter to Pilgrim/Wizard: Less common, but can create hybrid characters if you want a physical attacker who can also cast some support spells.
- Pilgrim/Wizard to Warrior/Fighter: Can create magic-users with higher HP and defense, but they will lose some magical prowess.
- Consider your party's needs and future challenges when deciding on vocation changes. Grinding levels after a vocation change is necessary to regain lost stats.
