This idyllic setting is short-lived, however, as a devastating event forces you to confront your destiny. After the destruction of your home, you will emerge as the sole survivor, imbued with a nascent power and a heavy heart.

Initial Steps:

• Explore Your Home: Before the tragedy, take a moment to speak with the villagers and understand your role. This brief period serves as a tutorial for basic movement and interaction.
• The Cataclysm: The village will be attacked, and you will witness its destruction. This event is pivotal to the Hero's motivation.
• Escape the Mountain Pass: Your immediate objective is to navigate the treacherous mountain pass that leads out of the devastated village. This is a linear path, but be mindful of the few encounters you might face.

The World Map: First Steps and Casabranca

Once you emerge from the mountain pass, you'll find yourself on the vast world map. This is where your true quest begins. Your initial goal is to reach the town of Casabranca, a bustling settlement that will serve as your first major waypoint.

Navigation and Early Grinding:

• Travel South: From the mountain pass exit, head directly south. You'll soon encounter a small, isolated cabin. While not immediately crucial, it's a landmark to confirm your direction.
• Continue South-East: From the cabin, continue your journey southeast. Casabranca is a prominent town, difficult to miss.
• Battle Encounters: During this initial trek, focus on battling the low-level enemies you encounter. The Hero, even at low levels, is a versatile fighter. Aim to reach at least Level 3 before arriving in Casabranca. This will provide you with a crucial advantage in the upcoming areas.

Recommended Level: Hero 1-5 (upon arrival in Casabranca).

Casabranca: A Detour and a Dilemma

Upon reaching Casabranca, you'll find a lively town with various shops and NPCs. However, your progress will be temporarily halted by a significant obstacle: the vast desert to the east is impassable without a wagon. This is a common early-game pitfall for new players, as the game doesn't immediately provide a clear solution.

Key Information in Casabranca:

• The Desert Blockade: Speak with the townspeople, and you'll quickly learn that crossing the desert to the east is impossible on foot. You'll need a "wagon" or "cart" to traverse its harsh terrain.
• No Immediate Wagon: Unlike some other RPGs, you won't find a wagon for sale or readily available in Casabranca. This is a deliberate design choice to guide you towards your first companions.
• The Path to Endor: The townspeople will hint at other regions, but your immediate priority is to reach the Kingdom of Endor. This is where you'll begin tracking down your first allies, Meena and Maya.

Warning: Do NOT head towards Burland or Zamoksva yet! These locations are tied to later recruitment arcs for Ragnar and Alena/Borya/Kiryl, respectively. Attempting to go there now will be fruitless and potentially lead to unnecessary grinding in areas beyond your current capabilities.

Obtaining the Wagon and Reaching Endor

To bypass the desert and continue your quest, you must first acquire a wagon. This crucial item is not found in Casabranca itself, but rather in the region beyond the cave to the southwest.

Step-by-Step to the Wagon and Endor:

1. Exit Casabranca: Leave Casabranca and head back onto the world map.
2. Travel Southwest to the Cave: From Casabranca, head directly southwest. You'll soon spot a prominent cave entrance nestled in the mountains. This is the Cave to Endor (sometimes referred to as the "Southwest Cave").
3. Navigate the Cave:
   • The Cave to Endor is a relatively straightforward dungeon, but it introduces slightly tougher enemies than those around Casabranca.
   • Recommended Level: Aim for Level 4-6 before entering the cave to ensure a smoother passage.
   • Enemies: Expect encounters with monsters like Healslimes (can heal themselves and others), Bunicorns, and Foul Fowls. Prioritize defeating Healslimes quickly to prevent prolonged battles.
   • Treasures: explore all paths within the cave. You'll find valuable items such as a Medical Herb and a Seed of Agility.
   • Exit: The cave has a single exit on the other side, leading you into a new region.
4. Enter the Endor Region: Upon exiting the cave, you will find yourself in the plains surrounding the Kingdom of Endor.
5. Locate the Wagon:
   • From the cave exit, head slightly south and then east. You will soon come across a small, isolated house or shack. This is the Wagon Master's House.
   • Speak to the Wagon Master: Enter the house and speak with the old man inside. He is the Wagon Master, and after a brief conversation, he will entrust you with his Wagon. This item is essential for traversing deserts and carrying your future companions.
6. Proceed to Endor Castle Town: With the Wagon in your possession, you are now ready to continue your journey. From the Wagon Master's House, head directly south. You will quickly arrive at the magnificent castle town of Endor.
