Walkthrough: Chapter 5

Welcome to Chapter 5, the culmination of your journey! This is where all the heroes you've guided through their individual chapters finally unite to confront the ultimate evil. Prepare for a grand adventure across the world, recruiting allies, uncovering ancient secrets, and facing formidable foes.

The Hero's Awakening

The chapter begins with your custom-named Hero in their secluded village. After a tragic event, you'll be forced to leave your home and embark on your destiny.

  • Initial Steps:
    • Speak to everyone in your village to gather information and receive your starting equipment.
    • Head south out of the village. Your first destination is the nearby town of Lakanaba.
  • Lakanaba:
    • Explore the town thoroughly. Check barrels and pots for items.
    • Visit the weapon and armor shops to upgrade your gear if possible.
    • Talk to the townspeople. You'll hear rumors about a mysterious girl in a nearby cave.
    • Before leaving Lakanaba, ensure you have a few Medicinal Herbs and at least one Antidote Herb.

Reuniting with Alena

Your first task is to find and recruit the Princess of Santeem, Alena. She's known for her incredible strength and will be a valuable asset.

  • Cave to the West:
    • From Lakanaba, head west to find a cave entrance. This is the Cave of the Princess.
    • Navigate through the cave. Be mindful of the monsters; they can be challenging at lower levels. Prioritize defeating Slimes and She-Slimes quickly.
    • Key Item: On the first floor, look for a chest containing a Seed of Strength.
    • On the second floor, you'll find Alena. After a brief conversation, she will join your party!
  • Return to Lakanaba:
    • With Alena in tow, return to Lakanaba. Her presence will open up new dialogue options with the townspeople.
    • Consider upgrading Alena's equipment if you have the gold. A Iron Claw is a good early investment for her.

The Road to Endor

Your next major destination is the bustling city of Endor, where you'll encounter more familiar faces.

  • Journey South:
    • From Lakanaba, head south and then west, following the path. You'll eventually reach a bridge leading to the continent where Endor is located.
    • Encounter: As you approach Endor, you'll witness a scene involving Torneko Taloon.
  • Endor City:
    • Explore Endor thoroughly. It's a large city with many shops and NPCs.
    • Recruiting Torneko: You'll find Torneko in the weapon shop, attempting to make a deal. After a short sequence, he will join your party. His unique ability to find items after battle is incredibly useful.
    • Casino: Endor also boasts a casino. While not essential for progression, it's a great place to earn valuable items and equipment by exchanging tokens. Consider playing the Slot Machines or Poker if you have some spare gold.
    • Item Acquisition:
      • Check the well in the center of town for a Mini Medal.
      • In the castle, search the pots and barrels for a Seed of Agility.

The Desert and the Oasis

With Torneko now part of your team, your journey continues through the desert.

  • East of Endor:
    • Head east from Endor into the vast desert region. The monsters here are tougher, so ensure your party is well-equipped and healed.
    • Oasis Town: After a significant trek, you'll reach an oasis town. This is a crucial stop for healing and resupplying.
    • Recruiting Borya and Kiryl: In the oasis town, you'll find Borya and Kiryl, who will join your party after a brief conversation. Their magical abilities, especially Kiryl's healing spells, are indispensable.
  • Preparation for the Desert Palace:
    • Before venturing further into the desert, ensure your party has sufficient Medicinal Herbs, Antidote Herbs, and at least one Holy Water for navigating cursed areas.
    • Consider purchasing some Iron Armor and Iron Shields for your physical attackers if you haven't already.

Continue your adventure by heading north from the oasis town, towards the Desert Palace, where a significant challenge awaits!
