Ignis Rex is a large, fiery Golem-type monster that serves as the guardian of the Circle of Temper. Its attacks are primarily fire-based, including powerful single-target fire breath and an area-of-effect (AoE) fire attack that can hit your entire party. It also has a strong physical attack.
Strategy:
- Team Composition: Bring monsters with strong Water or Ice spells (e.g., Slime, Dracky with Ice skills, or a synthesized monster with 'Sizz' resistance). A monster with healing spells is highly recommended.
- Phase 1 (100%-50% HP): Ignis Rex will primarily use 'Sizz' or 'Sizzle' spells and physical attacks. Focus on exploiting its Water/Ice weakness. Use 'Sap' or 'Kasap' if you have a monster that can lower its defense. Keep your party's HP above 50% at all times.
- Phase 2 (Below 50% HP): Ignis Rex will become more aggressive, occasionally using a powerful AoE fire attack called 'Blaze'. This attack can deal significant damage to your entire party. Prioritize healing after this attack. If you have a monster with 'Insulate' or 'Magic Barrier', now is the time to use it to reduce magic damage. Continue to chip away at its HP with Water/Ice attacks.

Ensure your monsters have at least 100 HP and 50 MP for your primary spellcasters. Stock up on Medicinal Herbs and Magic Waters. If you're struggling, consider synthesizing a monster with higher Water/Ice affinity or grinding a few more levels in the Circle of Temper.
