Bestiary & Monster Locations
Welcome, aspiring Monster Wrangler! This comprehensive bestiary will guide you through the perilous realms of Nadiria, detailing where to find every creature, how to recruit them, and what valuable items they might drop. Mastering monster recruitment is key to becoming the Dark Prince, so pay close attention!
Understanding the Bestiary
Your in-game bestiary, accessible from the main menu, tracks every monster you've encountered. It provides vital information such as their family, size, and sometimes even their preferred scouting conditions. This guide complements the in-game bestiary by offering specific, actionable steps for finding and recruiting these creatures.
Recruitment Strategies
- Scouting: The primary method of recruitment. Use your Scouting ability in battle. The higher your monster's attack and the lower the target's HP, the better your chances. Consider using abilities that lower a monster's defense, like Kasap, before scouting.
- Meat Items: Certain items, like Monster Munchies or Sirloin, can significantly boost your scouting success rate. Use them strategically on rare or difficult-to-recruit monsters.
- Synthesis: Many powerful monsters can only be obtained through synthesizing two existing monsters. Refer to the "Synthesis Guide" section for detailed recipes.
- Seasonal Spawns: Some monsters appear only during specific seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) in certain areas. Always check the current season via the map or by observing the environment.
- Day/Night Cycles: Just like seasons, some monsters are exclusive to either day or night. Keep an eye on the in-game clock!

Advanced Scouting Tips
- Party Composition: A monster with high Attack is crucial for successful scouting. Consider bringing a monster with the Scout's Eye trait for an additional boost.
- Critical Hits: Landing a critical hit before scouting significantly increases your chances.
- Status Effects: While not directly increasing scouting chance, status effects like Sleep or Paralysis can prevent a monster from attacking, giving you more turns to weaken and scout.
- Field Skills: Utilize field skills like Whistle to attract monsters if you're struggling to find a specific one.
Remember, patience is a virtue in monster hunting. Some rare spawns might take several attempts or specific conditions to appear. Good luck, Dark Prince!
