The path to the Crystal Heart is not a straight one. You'll encounter several environmental challenges requiring clever use of your monster's Fortes. Your Treasure Compass will be your primary guide, but understanding how to leverage your team's abilities is crucial.

Key Fortes for this Section:

• Sprint: Essential for crossing unstable terrain, evading traps, and reaching distant platforms within a time limit.
• Launch: Crucial for activating high-up switches, reaching elevated ledges, and sometimes even creating new pathways.
• Glide: While not strictly required for puzzles, a monster with Glide can offer shortcuts or safer descents, especially after activating certain mechanisms.
• Stealth: Useful for bypassing some tougher enemy groups if you're low on healing items or want to conserve time.

Upon reaching the chamber housing the Crystal Heart, you will face a formidable boss: the Crystalline Colossus. This ancient Golem-type creature is imbued with the cave's elemental energy.

Crystalline Colossus - Attack Patterns & Weaknesses:

• Elemental Weakness: The Crystalline Colossus is primarily weak to Fire-elemental attacks. Bring monsters with strong Fire-based skills.
• Physical Vulnerability: It also takes increased damage from Blunt-type physical attacks. Monsters like Golems or Hammerhoods can be effective.
• Attack 1: Crystal Shard Barrage: The Colossus will raise its arms and fire a volley of sharp crystal shards in a cone in front of it.
  • Strategy: Dodge to the sides or behind the boss. Use your monster's Sprint Forte to quickly reposition.
• Attack 2: Ground Slam: The Colossus will slam its fists into the ground, creating a shockwave that deals area-of-effect damage and can stun.
  • Strategy: Watch for the wind-up animation (it will glow red). Jump just before its fists hit the ground, or use a monster with Sprint to quickly move out of the AoE.
