After defeating his first form, Rhapthorne reveals his true, even more terrifying, second form. This is the final battle of the game. Your party will be exhausted, so use any remaining Elfin Elixirs and Yggdrasil Leaves to prepare. This form is protected by seven magical barriers, which must be removed before you can damage him directly.
Strategy:
- Party Setup: Same as First Form.
- Attacks: Rhapthorne's second form uses even more powerful versions of his previous spells, including 'Big Bang' (massive multi-target damage) and 'Kafrizzle'. He also has a strong physical attack and can summon 'Shadows' to attack your party.
- Weaknesses: None.
- Phase 1: Breaking the Barriers: To remove the seven barriers, you must use the 'Godbird's Sceptre' (a key item you acquire earlier) as an item in battle. Each use removes one barrier. You'll need to use it seven times. During this phase, focus on surviving Rhapthorne's attacks and keeping your party alive. Don't waste MP on offensive spells until the barriers are down.
- Phase 2: Attacking Rhapthorne: Once all barriers are down, Rhapthorne becomes vulnerable. Unleash everything you have.
- Hero: Omniheal is your priority. Use Gigagash/Gigagash for damage.
- Yangus: Helm Splitter, then powerful Axe attacks. Kabuff.
- Jessica: Kafrizzle, Kasizzle, Kazap. Use Twin Dragon Lash if you have it.
- Angelo: Multiheal. Oomph on physical attackers. Bow attacks.
- Items: Use any remaining Yggdrasil Leaves, Elfin Elixirs, and Special Medicines.
This is a marathon battle. The first phase is about survival and barrier removal. The second phase is a full-on assault. Keep your HP high, manage your MP, and don't give up. With perseverance and smart play, you will defeat Rhapthorne and save the world!
