Yangus is your burly, axe-wielding companion, specializing in raw physical damage and debuffs. He has high HP and Strength, making him an excellent front-line fighter. His unique skill tree, 'Humanity', focuses on utility and debuffing enemies, including the invaluable 'Whistle' ability to call for monsters. Yangus can specialize in Axes, Scythes, or Fisticuffs.
Recommended Builds:
- Axe & Humanity Tank/DPS: This is Yangus's most common and effective build. Axes provide powerful single-target attacks like 'Helm Splitter' (which can lower enemy defense) and 'Executioner' (a high-damage, critical-hit chance attack). Investing in Humanity grants 'Whistle' for monster grinding and 'Kabuff' for party defense. This build makes Yangus a formidable damage dealer who can also debuff enemies and boost party defenses.
- Scythe & Humanity Debuffer: Scythes offer unique abilities like 'Stainless Steal' (steals items) and 'Grim Reaper' (a powerful attack with a chance to instantly kill). While less consistent than Axes for raw damage, the utility of stealing items can be very beneficial. Combine this with Humanity for support.
Focus on Axes for damage or Scythes for utility, and always put some points into Humanity for 'Whistle' and 'Kabuff'. Yangus is your primary physical damage dealer and can take a lot of punishment.
