In a desperate act of self-preservation, your soul is transferred into the body of one of Astoltia's five distinct tribes:

Ogre: Powerful warriors residing in the volcanic lands of Ogreed.
Puklipo: Mischievous and agile beings from the lush forests of Pukuland.
Elf: Wise and magical folk inhabiting the serene woodlands of Elven Garden.
Wedi: Aquatic beings dwelling in the deep seas of Wedi Ocean.
Dwarf: Industrious and resilient craftsmen from the rocky mountains of Dwarven Kingdom.

This initial transformation is a pivotal moment, setting the stage for your quest to reclaim your original body and find your lost sibling. You'll spend your early hours learning the customs and challenges of your chosen tribe, completing essential quests that introduce you to the game's mechanics and the unique culture of each race.

The Prophecy and the Five Orbs

Soon after your awakening as a new tribal member, you'll learn of a dire prophecy concerning the resurgence of Maou and the impending doom of Astoltia. Ancient texts speak of a chosen hero who must gather the Five Orbs, powerful artifacts scattered across the land, to seal away the demon lord once more. Your journey will take you across all five continents, interacting with the leaders and inhabitants of each tribe:

Ogreed: Seek out the Flame Orb within the perilous Volcano of Blazes. Be prepared for encounters with fire-elemental monsters like Magma Slimes and Infernal Hounds. A good strategy involves bringing plenty of Water of Amrita for healing and equipping gear with fire resistance.
Pukuland: The Wind Orb is hidden deep within the Whispering Woods Maze. Navigate tricky puzzles and face agile foes such as Great Sabrecats and Shadow Sprites. The key here is often observation and careful mapping.
Elven Garden: Recover the Forest Orb from the ancient Moonlit Sanctuary. This area is often guarded by magical creatures like Gargoyles and Sorcerous Scorpions. Consider bringing a party member with strong magical defense or dispelling abilities.
Wedi Ocean: Dive into the depths to retrieve the Water Orb from the sunken city of Atlantis's Embrace. Expect to battle various aquatic monsters, including Kraken Priests and Mermaid Knights. Potions of Breath of the Sea are invaluable for extended underwater exploration.
