Tockles are whimsical creatures that appear throughout Erdrea, offering valuable rewards for finding them and their associated 'Pastwords.' These Pastwords are fragments of forgotten memories that, when collected, allow you to access special dungeons in Tickington, a world accessible through the Tockles. This guide will help you locate all the Tockles and gather the necessary Pastwords to progress through this unique side content.

Tockles were originally introduced as DLC and are now integrated into the base game. You'll need to find all 25 Tockles, each associated with a Pastword, and then journey to the worlds of previous Dragon Quest games in Tickington to rescue them. You can check your progress on missing Pastwords in the 'Info' menu. The first Tockle you encounter will guide you to Tickington, marking the start of this questline.

The 'Zoom' spell, taught by Veronica, is invaluable for quickly traveling between cities and campsites, significantly speeding up your exploration and Tockle hunting. Use it frequently to return to areas where you've spotted Tockles or need to revisit for quest objectives.

After leaving Hotto and encountering your first Tockle, you'll be directed to Tickington. Once you've obtained the first Pastword, you can leave Tickington and continue your journey. The Gallopolis Region is your next destination. Head to the center of Gallopolis and speak with the purple dot in the cafe to accept a quest to fight a rare Golden Globe enemy. Another purple dot in the northwest can be saved for later. Inside the palace, proceed to the prince's bedchamber and then the opposite one to find the Fishnet Stockings, an important outfit piece. The church also contains a wardrobe with the Traveler's Hood. Outside the armor shop, a woman in a yellow dress will give you a Puff-Puff.
