Status Effect Curing Items
Navigating the challenges of Dragon Quest XI S often involves dealing with various status ailments that can hinder your party's effectiveness. Fortunately, a range of consumable items can quickly cure these afflictions, allowing you to get back to fighting fit. Understanding which items cure which ailments is crucial for efficient combat and survival.
When a character becomes 'pepped up,' they glow blue and gain access to powerful Pep Powers. This state is temporary, lasting only a few turns, but can be extended by switching the pepped character out for a reserve party member. The pepped-up status persists even after battles or when characters are in the reserve party. This mechanic is key to unleashing devastating combination attacks.
The 'Expert Itemologist' trophy is awarded for collecting 500 different types of items. This includes materials, equipment, key items, and recipe books. You can track your progress in the 'Misc.' > 'Info' menu. Most players will naturally achieve this trophy by exploring and engaging with the game's various systems. Remember that equipment variations like +1, +2, or +3 do not count as separate items.
The 'Dedicated Follower of Fashion' trophy requires collecting all appearance-altering equipment. These items, marked with a pink star, change a character's visual appearance. They can be crafted, found in chests, or purchased. The game's outfit menu helps track your progress. If you're short on items for the 'Expert Itemologist' trophy, consider purchasing from shops or crafting new gear.
