Boss Slayers’ Tactics & Hero Encounters
In Dungeon Keeper, 'boss' encounters typically involve high-level Lords of the Land or the legendary Avatar. Overcoming these champions requires more than just raw numbers; you must exploit their AI and resistances.
- The Lord of the Land: Often possessing massive health and the 'Heal' spell, these lords should be isolated. Use Freeze or Chicken spells to disable their guards, then drop your highest-level Mistresses and Horned Reapers directly onto the Lord to burst him down before he can retreat.
- The Avatar (Final Encounter): The ultimate hero is immune to many status effects. To defeat him, lure him into a 'kill zone' filled with high-level Traps (Lava and Lightning). Use your Imps to dig paths that force him into a gauntlet of level 10 Vampires and Dragons, utilizing the Possession spell to manually dodge his area-of-effect attacks.
- General Hero Slaying: For any powerful hero group, utilize the 'Boulder Trap' to thin their ranks instantly. If a hero is too strong for your army, use Enforce Work on your creatures to increase their attack speed, and keep your high-value units alive by snatching them out of combat and dropping them into a Temple for instant healing.
