Use your newly acquired basic weapons (pipe, wrench) to defend yourself, aiming for headshots to conserve durability. This is a good opportunity to practice combat and scavenging. Along the way, you might stumble upon side quests or random encounters; feel free to engage if you feel confident, but prioritize the main objective.
