Night Survival Strategies

Survive the night in Dying Light: The Beast with advanced stealth, evasion, and combat strategies against Volatiles.

Night in Harran is a different beast entirely. Volatiles emerge, and all infected become more aggressive. However, night also offers double XP for all actions, making it lucrative for brave survivors.

Night Survival Strategies
  • Prioritize Stealth: Use your UV flashlight sparingly, as it attracts attention. Rely on survivor sense and camouflage.
  • Know Your Escape Routes: Identify safe zones and high ground before venturing out.
  • UV Flares & Traps: Carry plenty of UV flares to deter Volatiles. Use environmental traps (spikes, electric fences) to your advantage.
  • Distractions: Firecrackers and throwing knives can draw away or silently eliminate threats.
  • Grappling Hook is King: The grappling hook is your best friend at night for rapid escapes and reaching inaccessible rooftops.
  • Don't Engage Volatiles (Early Game): Unless you have powerful firearms and a clear advantage, avoid direct confrontation with Volatiles. Run and hide.

Night is high risk, high reward. Only venture out when well-equipped and confident in your parkour skills.
