Consecrated Snowfield

The Consecrated Snowfield is a desolate and treacherous hidden area, shrouded in perpetual snow and mist. This region is notoriously difficult to navigate due to its low visibility and the presence of powerful, often invisible, enemies. It is a critical area for accessing some of the game's most challenging optional content and secrets.

Accessing the Consecrated Snowfield requires obtaining the Haligtree Secret Medallion. This medallion is split into two halves: the left half is found in the Village of the Albinaurics in Liurnia of the Lakes, obtained by speaking to Albus disguised as a pot. The right half is located in the Castle Sol in the Mountaintops of the Giants, dropped by Commander Niall. Once you have both halves, you can use them at the Grand Lift of Rold to ascend to the Consecrated Snowfield. The primary challenge of this area is its extreme weather conditions. A constant blizzard reduces visibility significantly, making it difficult to spot enemies and navigate the terrain. Many enemies in this region are invisible until they attack, making ambushes a constant threat. The most notable invisible enemy is the Lhutel the Headless spirit ash summon, which can be found here. The Consecrated Snowfield is also home to the Ordina, Liturgical Town, a puzzle-filled area that, when solved, unlocks the path to Miquella's Haligtree. The enemies here are varied and dangerous, including various types of knights, spectral soldiers, and powerful beasts. The area is also known for its large, aggressive bears and the formidable Cleanrot Knights. The lore of the Consecrated Snowfield is tied to the history of Miquella and Malenia, and it serves as a gateway to their sacred domain. Players will encounter remnants of past conflicts and the lingering presence of those who sought to reach the Haligtree. Due to the low visibility and the strength of the enemies, it is highly recommended to have a good understanding of the area's layout, use items that improve visibility or detect enemies, and be prepared for challenging combat encounters. The Consecrated Snowfield is a true test of a Tarnished's perseverance and skill.
