Mastering the controls is paramount to survival in the Lands Between. Elden Ring utilizes a familiar Souls-like control scheme, but with some key additions.

Movement & Combat:

  • Left Stick: Movement
  • Right Stick: Camera Control
  • L3 (Press Left Stick): Sprint
  • R3 (Press Right Stick): Lock-on/Unlock Target
  • X/A (Jump Button): Jump, Double Jump (on Torrent)
  • Circle/B (Dodge Button): Roll, Backstep, Sprint
  • Square/Y (Interact Button): Interact, Pick Up Items
  • Triangle/Y (Two-Hand Weapon/Mount): Hold to Two-Hand Left/Right Weapon, Press to Mount/Dismount Torrent
  • L1/LB: Left Hand Attack/Skill (Shield Block)
  • L2/LT: Left Hand Skill (Weapon Art, Parry)
  • R1/RB: Right Hand Light Attack
  • R2/RT: Right Hand Heavy Attack (Chargeable)
  • D-Pad Up: Cycle Spells/Incantations
  • D-Pad Down: Cycle Items
  • D-Pad Left: Cycle Left Hand Weapon
  • D-Pad Right: Cycle Right Hand Weapon

User Interface (UI):

  • Top Left: HP, FP, Stamina Bars. Status Effects.
  • Top Right: Compass, Current Location Name.
  • Bottom Left: Equipped Spells/Incantations, Equipped Items.
  • Bottom Right: Equipped Weapons (Left/Right Hand).
  • Center Screen: Target Lock-on Indicator, Enemy HP Bar.
