Talismans are invaluable accessories in the Lands Between, offering a wide array of passive buffs that can significantly alter your build and playstyle. From boosting your stats to enhancing your combat prowess or even providing crucial defensive boons, choosing the right talismans can be the difference between triumph and defeat. This section will guide you through the locations of some essential early-game talismans and explain their effects, helping you optimize your journey as a Tarnished.

Essential Early-Game Talismans

Focusing on these talismans early on will provide a solid foundation for any build. Prioritize exploration and combat to secure these crucial items.

Radagon's Soreseal

• Effect: Greatly raises Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity, but also increases damage taken. This talisman is a powerful early-game boost for any melee or hybrid build, offering 5 levels to each of these four stats. The increased damage taken is a trade-off, so be mindful of your defenses.
• Location: Fort Faroth, Caelid.
  1. Travel to the Dragonbarrow West Site of Grace in Caelid.
  2. Head directly east until you reach Fort Faroth, a dilapidated fort teeming with bat-like enemies and a few spectral knights.
  3. Enter the fort and immediately turn left to find a ladder. Climb it.
  4. Once on the upper level, proceed forward and drop down a small ledge to your right.
  5. You'll find the talisman on a corpse hanging over the edge, surrounded by several Giant Bats. Be prepared for a fight or a quick grab and run.

Erdtree's Favor

• Effect: Raises maximum HP, Stamina, and Equip Load. A fantastic all-around talisman for any character, providing a welcome boost to survivability and utility. There are multiple versions of this talisman (Erdtree's Favor +1, +2) found later in the game with enhanced effects.
• Location: Fringefolk Hero's Grave, Limgrave.
  1. From the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace (the very first area of the game), head down into the Fringefolk Hero's Grave dungeon.
  2. You'll need two Stonesword Keys to open the mist gate.
  3. Navigate the chariot traps and spectral enemies.
  4. The talisman is located on a corpse at the very end of the dungeon, past the Ulcerated Tree Spirit boss. You do not need to defeat the boss to acquire the talisman; it's on a ledge overlooking the boss arena. Carefully drop down from the path above to reach it.

Green Turtle Talisman

• Effect: Raises stamina recovery speed. Indispensable for any build that relies heavily on dodging, attacking, or spellcasting, as it allows for more sustained action.
• Location: Summonwater Village, Limgrave.
  1. Travel to the Summonwater Village Outskirts Site of Grace in northeastern Limgrave.
  2. Head into the village, which is infested with Undead and a Tibia Mariner boss.
  3. Locate a small, ruined building in the center of the village.
  4. Inside this building, you'll find a sealed imp statue. Use one Stonesword Key to open it.
  5. The Green Turtle Talisman is inside the chest behind the imp statue.

Marika's Soreseal

• Effect: Greatly raises Mind, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane, but also increases damage taken. Similar to Radagon's Soreseal, this talisman offers a significant boost (5 levels) to these four stats, making it ideal for spellcasters and arcane builds. The increased damage taken is a significant drawback, so plan your defenses accordingly.
• Location: Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.
  1. This is a late-game talisman, requiring access to the Haligtree area.
  2. From the Prayer Room Site of Grace in Elphael, proceed through the area until you reach the large rot-filled lake.
  3. Look for a small building or alcove on the eastern side of this lake, guarded by several Cleanrot Knights.
  4. The talisman is found on a corpse within this guarded area. Be prepared for a challenging fight against the knights.
