Verboten Domain: Initial Descent & Exploration
Upon entering the Verboten Domain from the Stockade access point, you'll find yourself in a dimly lit cavern. The path immediately presents a vertical challenge, requiring careful jumps and dodges. Keep an eye out for environmental hazards, such as corrosive pools and unstable platforms.
- Initial Enemies:
- Blighted Scientist: These former researchers now shamble forward, occasionally lunging with a blighted syringe for moderate damage. They are relatively slow but can be surprisingly resilient. Use quick, multi-hit attacks to stagger them.
- Mutated Hound: Agile and aggressive, these canine-like creatures will charge Lily, often in packs. Their attacks are fast but can be parried with the right timing. Consider using a wide-sweeping Spirit like Ulv to clear groups.
- Fungal Spore Launcher: Stationary enemies that periodically launch slow-moving, blighted projectiles. Prioritize these from a distance with ranged Spirits like Western Merchant or Umbral Knight's projectile attack to prevent area denial.

Key Locations & Collectibles
As you navigate the initial sections, you'll encounter several vertical shafts and moving platforms. Precision jumping and understanding the timing of these platforms are crucial. Don't rush, as falling can lead to significant damage or force you to retrace your steps.
- Relic: Amulet of the Blighted: Shortly after the first series of moving platforms, you'll find a hidden alcove to the left. This relic increases your Blight resistance, which is invaluable in this area.
- Fervor Fragment (Verboten Domain I): This crucial upgrade is located in a well-hidden passage. After descending the second major vertical shaft (the one with several Fungal Spore Launchers), look for a destructible wall on the bottom-right side of the shaft, just before the next horizontal path. Use Umbral Knight's ground slam or a similar heavy attack to break it open. This fragment increases your maximum Prayer charges, allowing for more frequent healing.
- Stamina Fragment (Verboten Domain I): Found in a chest behind a series of Blighted Scientists and Mutated Hounds. It's on the main path, but often overlooked due to the intensity of combat. Clear the enemies, then explore thoroughly.
Advancing Deeper: The Elevator Chamber
The path will eventually lead you to a large, circular chamber dominated by a distinctive, ornate elevator. This elevator serves as a central hub for the Verboten Domain, connecting different layers of the facility. Before activating it, ensure you've explored all accessible areas on this level.
- Mini-Boss Encounter (Optional): In a side-path just before the elevator chamber, you might encounter a Greater Mutated Hound. This larger, more aggressive variant of the Mutated Hound boasts increased health and damage.
- Strategy: Focus on dodging its lunging attacks and counter with Guardian Siegrid's rapid strikes. If you have access to the Gerrod Spirit, its heavy attacks can stun the Greater Mutated Hound, creating openings for sustained damage.
- Reward: Upon defeat, it drops a significant amount of Blight and often a Stamina Fragment.
- Respite: Resting Bench: A resting bench is conveniently located just to the left of the elevator, allowing you to save your progress, manage your Spirits, and heal before proceeding to the next section of the Verboten Domain.

- Missing the Fervor Fragment: The destructible wall for the Fervor Fragment is subtly blended into the environment. Always check suspicious-looking walls, especially in dead ends or unusual alcoves.
