The Scavenger Matriarch
This hulking beast is often one of the first major boss encounters. Its primary threat comes from its powerful melee attacks and its ability to summon smaller Scavengers to overwhelm you.
- Location: Typically found in early-game Scavenger camps, often guarding important quest objectives.
- Weaknesses:
- Physical Damage: While it has high health, it's susceptible to consistent physical damage. Weapons like the Iron Mace or a well-crafted Longsword are effective.
- Headshots: Aiming for the head deals critical damage.
- Strategies:
- Dodge and Weave: Her attacks are telegraphed. Learn to dodge backward or to the side to avoid her lunges and slams.
- Crowd Control: Prioritize taking down the summoned Scavengers quickly to prevent being surrounded. Area-of-effect (AoE) attacks or quick melee sweeps are useful here.

- Melee Interruption: While dangerous up close, a well-timed melee strike can interrupt its casting.

- Maintain Distance: Its fireballs can deal significant damage. Try to keep a medium distance to react to its projectiles.
