All Chests: Organizing Your Enshrouded Hoard

Efficient inventory management is crucial for survival and progression in Enshrouded. Chests are your primary means of storing excess items, organizing your resources, and keeping your crafting stations supplied. Understanding the different types of chests available and their storage capacities will help you maintain order amidst the chaos of your adventures.

The most basic storage solution you'll encounter early on is the 'Wooden Chest'. This is a simple, craftable item that provides a modest amount of storage space. You can craft Wooden Chests at your workbench using wood planks. They are essential for storing gathered resources, crafted items, and any loot you find that you don't immediately need.

As you progress, you'll unlock more advanced and larger storage options. The 'Stone Chest' is a more durable and spacious alternative to the wooden chest. Crafting a Stone Chest requires stone bricks, which you'll obtain by processing stone at a Stone Furnace. Stone Chests offer a significant increase in storage capacity compared to their wooden counterparts, making them ideal for storing bulk resources.

Further into the game, you'll gain access to even more specialized storage solutions. These might include chests with unique visual dess or those crafted from rarer materials, offering slightly increased storage or specific aesthetic benefits. The key is to always have a system for organizing your items. Dedicate specific chests for different categories of items, such as building materials, crafting ingredients, weapons, and armor.

Chest Types and Capacities (Approximate):

  • Wooden Chest: Small capacity, crafted with wood planks. Ideal for early game or temporary storage.
  • Stone Chest: Medium capacity, crafted with stone bricks. Excellent for general resource storage.
  • Larger/Specialized Chests: Varying capacities, often crafted with more advanced materials. Offer increased storage for specific needs.

Tips for Chest Management:

  1. Build Multiple Chests: Don't rely on just one or two chests. Build several and place them strategically around your base.
  2. Categorize Your Storage: Designate specific chests for specific item types. For example, one chest for wood, one for stone, one for food, etc.
  3. Place Chests Near Crafting Stations: Keep chests containing relevant crafting ingredients close to your workbenches and furnaces to streamline your crafting process.
  4. Upgrade When Possible: As soon as you unlock the ability to craft larger or more durable chests, prioritize doing so to expand your storage capabilities.
  5. Label Your Chests (Mentally or with Mods): While the game doesn't have in-game labeling, develop a mental system or use mods if available to quickly identify the contents of each chest.

By effectively utilizing the various chests available in Enshrouded, you can transform your base from a cluttered mess into an organized hub of efficiency, ensuring you always have the resources you need at your fingertips.
