The location of this initial base can significantly impact your early game experience, influencing resource availability, travel time to key areas, and your overall safety from the Shroud and its inhabitants. Prioritize areas with a good mix of wood, stone, and plant life within easy reach. Look for natural chokepoints or elevated positions that offer defensive advantages.
